February, apparently the month of love. Although personally I think that is November but hey ho each to their own. It is Valentine’s today- happy V- Day darlings. However you choose to spend it is correct, watching the Kardashian’s with a kebab, with your girlies making voodoo dolls of exes, at a romantic dinner with your partner or going to church- the possibilities truly are endless.
There was truly a variety of ways this months mood board could have gone, but I think anything sweet or sentimental is a lil bit wet- sorry. So I decided to find the images that to me were a bit more reminiscent of my experience of love, and no this is neither me saying I am a sadist or a masochist- whilst it would be none of your business. But love always makes me do crazy things. It takes over my mind, traps my sense, smothers me in possibilities & pierces me with hopes.
Love to me permeates two things: my mind and body. So here you will find a mood board dedicated to each. Enjoy lover.
mind
Now to be in love creates a barrier in the mind. It is a cover, a shield, a film- one that can protect or obscure. Think rubber textures, like foil balloons and plastic eye masks, not very breathable but feels oddly satisfying. Red is an obvious tone here, but is it me who also thinks of silver- sparkly yet sometimes quite cold? Lips are pursed, pierced and pouted here, I hope tonight they are at least one of these.

body
A self embrace, a feeling under a different texture just so your skin can experience something new. I love texture and what it can do to a surface. There’s a lot of hands in these, just because I think today is all about touch. Hands shine on valentine’s day, opening cards, presents, maybe wearing a new ring, picking up oysters, taking a pizza box or pulling up the covers- maybe even all of the above.
